She attended Rutgers School of Law-Newark where she spearheaded a partnership between the Urban Legal Clinic and Environmental Law Clinic to provide representation to parents of lead-poisoned children prior to graduating cum laude in 1995.
Upon graduation, Wendy clerked for the New Hampshire Superior Court and then accepted an associate position with a small general practice law firm in the North Country. where she took a particular interest in criminal and family law. She subsequently accepted a position with the New Hampshire Public Defender’s Office, where she worked for four years, representing over a thousand defendants accused of a wide range of criminal offenses, from DUI to simple assault, burglary, aggravated sexual assault to negligent homicide, which enabled her to develop and hone her litigation skills both in and out of the courtroom.
Attorney Roberts left the Public Defender’s Office to work for a private criminal defense firm where she expanded her own practice to include family law matters prior to opening her own firm in 2007.
